Census 2010 is here~

The Census folks are here today for the first training session at our facility- 13 who have gotten jobs are attending training- 2 trainers are here. This group will be here the rest of the week and another group will be trained next week.

Lesli and I have both gotten our letters saying the forms will be here soon- we're looking for them- hope you are too.

Questions about the Census- come to Tri-Lakes TCRC- we will be a Census 2010 Q&A Center from February 26 - April 19, a Census representative will be here on weekdays from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm during those dates.

Worried about sharing your information with the Census? Here are two of the privacy questions answered on the Census website:

How is my information protected?
All Census Bureau employees take the oath of nondisclosure and are sworn for life to protect the confidentiality of the data. By law, the Census Bureau cannot share respondents' answers with anyone, including the IRS, FBI, CIA or any other government agency.
Can my neighbor see my information?
No. Individual census records are not shared with anyone, including other federal agencies and law enforcement entities. By law, the Census Bureau cannot share respondents' answers with anyone, -- not the IRS, not the FBI, not the CIA, and not with any other government agency. The penalty for unlawful disclosure is a fine of up to $250,000 or imprisonment of up to 5 years, or both.
